Hey all, Obeliskos here. I prefer reviews to guides, so keep an eye out for my lengthy opinion on games. I review two games every day: one that's on the front page and one that's not (the "underdog" game, in a way). Without further ado, let's get started.
Bubble Tanks 2
Bubble Tanks 2 is, obviously, the sequel of Bubble Tanks. There is no plot to develop or anything, so Bubble Tanks 2 was made to improve on the last game by bringing us class upgrades, new weapons, more enemies, and a few bosses, not to mention Arena Mode. Like the first Bubble Tanks, this game is all about running around shooting other bubbles. Some can put up a fight, some can't. When an enemy is defeated, bubbles fly out and you collect them to grow. If an enemy bubble shoots you, you lose bubbles. After a while, you're given a set of class upgrades to choose. There are 5 upgrades to be made, each choice leading to a different tank type. Which type should you choose in order to succeed? Well, that's the fun about BT2: You have to experiment with things like classes to find out what the best course of action is in order to beat the game. While the game is not particularly hard, since you can't really "die", it still takes a while to get all of those bubbles and upgrade your tank to the max. Due to this, the game gets repetitive, with only new enemies every now and then to keep it from getting stale. Nonetheless, it's a fun game for a while. However, once you fully upgrade your tank and kill the boss, there is hardly much left to do. Search for the other four boss bubbles for the badge and you're done, with hardly any motivation to play again. The replay value in this game is low, unless you really want to try every single class combination possible (and if so, you must have a lot of time on your hands). Class upgrades usually keep people interested for a while, but once you've done it all (fill up the Bubble-o-Pedia, got all of the badges), there isn't anything left of the game to do. You can try Arena mode, but that might not keep your interest for long. The music is nothing memorable. Just something to play so you're not stuck with dead silence. The sound effects are good, but the firing sound effect gives me a headache after a while. The graphics are great - polished, good detail on the bubbles, and the animation is smooth. Overall, Bubble Tanks 2, although fun at first, gets repetitive after a while, yet somehow you can't stop yourself from playing until you've accomplished everything (unless you're like me).

Epics of (the) Distant Realm
Video of Gameplay
Epics of (the) Distant Realm is an adventure game by "Tayfun Tuna", a university student in Turkey. Basically, you wake up in another world (I can't recall the name right now) and you have to kill an evil chick called Angevil to get back home. Yes, very cliché, but a decent plot. Anyway, you first find yourself in a room, getting up from bed. A bubble instructing you the basic controls pops up and you move on to find an old man. After a short cutscene, the old man gives you the house and some money and you're left to explore the world of... Whatever the name of this world is. And that's just it. You go around and explore. The first thing you notice is, of course, the town. Here's a screenshot of the town overview with captions for what building is what.
As you can see, the graphics are decent. The town layout is simple. With the money the old man gave you, you can buy either a dagger (blacksmith) or a small staff (magician). You don't have enough cash for much else right now, so grab whichever weapon you want and head out the gate.
This is the overview. (sorry if the text is too small) You'll be seeing this most of the time. It goes from day to night. In order for the cave to be marked on your map, you need to click on the bulliten board in the town and click on the paper. Exploring the cave is the fastest way to level up, but you can also click on terrain and grind. You can find one type of monster by doing so, as well as bags (which carry food and gold) and chests (which carry a lot of gold). Some chests are locked and you need a high Ability to pick the lock. The caves have several types of enemies, with a big boss at the end of each run. Every other screen while exploring the cave has a bag. Sometimes, you might need to eat some of the food you found in the bag to survive.
Well, uh... There. There's the whole game in a nutshell. In-game day after in-game day, you do the same monotonous thing. This is where the game can plummet down to a 3/5 at least. As you kill, loot gold, etc., you get points which add up to your "Epicscore", which you can upload to a Leaderboard. Nothing much, but a decent gimmick to keep you playing. Other than that, this whole game is all about grinding like crazy until you get enough money for the biggest sword. I think it also has to do with the number of caves you've completed - 20, I think. Once you hit level 25 or so, you should be ready to face Angevil and hopefully defeat her. Once this is done, you can either grind even more by going to the bulletin board and click on the paper which involves the "Angevil Army", then click OK. Or you can end to game. Now, remember: When you end the game, you can keep playing. Even upon completion, you can reload your file and play with the same character, or make a new one that's more aimed to magic instead of strength (vice versa if you picked a mage character). Anyway, to end the game, you go to the Castle once Angevil has been killed. The force field will be down and you can... go into the ship. Yeah, the forcefield is down and you... fly in a ship. Just what I expected.
Well, overall, Epics is a decent adventure game with a decent plotline. The game gets repetitive (and the music is ripped off of ESIV: Oblivion but the sound is good), but is worth a playthrough. Who knows, you might like it more than you think. Oh, by the way, saving only works if you don't close your browser. Yes, you have to complete the whole game in one day unless you download it (link to download included in game description). Which sucks.
